These wild food courses will be aimed at those who are new to the subject. We will look at lots of common and not so common wild greens that grow in our hedgerows, woodlands, grasslands and wetlands. I will show you simple to remember and understand identification techniques to keep you safe whilst out foraging. We will also discover some of the hidden uses of plants and trees, how they have helped man through the centuries and how they can still aid us in everyday life.
The course will run from 10am until 4pm and give you a good understanding of nature’s secret larder. In fact this is what one of my students said after the course this year (2008).
“I just wanted to say “Thank you” for a very good day out on Sunday. We both really enjoyed it and will probably never look at the woods in the same way again….in fact I’ll probably never be able to walk through the woods without trying to eat half of it either !!
